Despite many Americans wanting answers in regard to Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, the investigation hasn’t been a priority.
Hopefully, things might change thanks to the work of the watchdog group, Judicial Watch. They claim to have uncovered irrefutable proof that Clinton is guilty of mishandling classified documents, engaged in pay-to-play politics, and withheld evidence during the investigation. They’re demanding the FBI resumes its investigation.
According to a statement by the Judicial Watch, the organization released 1,606 pages it received as part of a lawsuit filed against the US State Department in May 2015. The lawsuit demanded the release of “All emails of official State Department business received or sent by former Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin.”
Among the released documents were 91 government emails that should have been included in the batch sent to the State Department, but were withheld. In addition to other documents discovered by Judicial Watch, this makes a total of 530 emails that Clinton withheld from the State Department.
Most concerning is that many of them were clearly marked classified and were still forwarded to Abedin’s email account. Sending these classified emails alone constitutes a felony, but emails were also withheld from the State Department and intentionally “bleached.” These actions would suggest that Clinton is also guilty of obstructing the investigation by withholding and erasing evidence.
The Washington Examiner has said that Judicial Watch has discovered that many of the emails it obtained revealed elements of pay-to-play politics. Clinton used her influence as Secretary of State to give and receive favors and strongarm others into donating to her Clinton Foundation.
One example is Miguel Lauesell, a TV executive from Puerto Rico. He was hoping to receive aid from Clinton to get a preferred candidate selected for a United States Ambassador position for the Dominican Republic. He was also determined to be a donor for the foundation.
President of Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton, demanded in a press release that the investigation into Clinton be reopened “Pay to play, classified information mishandling, influence peddling, cover ups – these new emails show why the criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton’s conduct must be resumed.”
The timing couldn’t be better as Republicans in the House Judiciary Committee have been pushing for the Justice Department to form a special counsel to investigate Clinton, according to The New York Post.
In a letter to the Justice Department, the Republicans demanded a second special counsel be formed to investigate Clinton and a number of other “unaddressed matters, some connected to the 2016 election and others, including actions taken by the Obama administration.”
Evidence has existed for a long time that Hillary Clinton has engaged in unethical and criminal activity without being investigated for her actions. Do you believe it’s time for her to face justice?
President Trump also seems primed to see headway on investigations into Clinton’s email server, according to a tweet he sent out last week criticizing the lack of information on a number of issues “Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!”
With Judicial Watch’s finding, and a renewed interest by Republicans and President Trump to see an investigation conducted, it doesn’t look good for Clinton. Perhaps now the American people will see justice finally served with a proper investigation conducted into this seemingly criminal behavior by a former candidate for our presidency.
