An undercover video seemingly reveals CNN’s lies and corruption about Trump and it has many concerned.
In a video released by Project Veritas, CNN’s Van Jones was seen admitting that the entire Russia-Trump controversy is a “big nothing burger”. Revealing CNN really is part of the ‘fake news’ machine fighting Trump. (via The Washington Times)
Project Veritas is a non-profit organization founded by conservative activist James O’Keefe. The organization was founded “to investigate and expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud, and other misconduct in both public and private institutions in order to achieve a more ethical and transparent society.” It does this by utilizing undercover reporters with hidden cameras to obtain information on potentially corrupt individuals and organizations.
The organization targeted CNN because of the many accusations by conservatives for engaging in ‘fake news’ and profiting from pushing the liberal agenda. In a sting operation, an undercover reporter for Veritas was able to question Van Jones on the Russian relations controversy. On video Van Jones says, “The Russia thing is just a big nothing burger.” A ‘nothing burger’ is defined as “something that is or turns out to be insignificant or lacking in substance.
Van Jones is a liberal political commentator for CNN, most famous for his “The Messy Truth with Van Jones” series on CNN. Despite siding with the left, he has been very critical of the nonsense surrounding the “Russiagate” conspiracies. “I think Democrats are fooling ourselves if we think that something is going to come out of this investigation that is somehow going to end the Trump Presidency and make everything better. Unless there is a real smoking gun which there is probably not, its just going to be a big old mess,” he once said.
He went on to criticize the media’s obsession with “Russiagate” while ignoring real, important issues: “Meanwhile we are not talking about jobs, not talking about poverty, not talking about solutions, not talking about the addiction crises. Lets talk about our stuff.”
The video comes on the heels of a recent video submitted by Project Veritas showing a producer at CNN, John Bonifield, confessing that CNN pushes so many Russia-Trump stories, “Because it’s ratings.” And that, “Trump is good for business right now.”
CNN doesn’t seem concerned by the rising controversy. When questioned about the John Bonifield confession, CNN stated that they continued to support him and that, “Diversity of personal opinion is what makes CNN strong, we welcome it and embrace it.” After being asked for comments by The Washington Times on the Van Jones video, CNN kept its response short and flippant, “LOL.”
Trump has been very critical of CNN since the campaign trail, accusing the network of being a hub of fake news and conducting witch hunts against him and his administration. After the Bonifield video, Trump sent out this tweet on Tuesday, “Fake News CNN is looking at big manaagment changes now that they got caught falsely pushing their phony Russian stories. Ratings way down!”
Given that CNN is also under the microscope after the resignation of three editors when they retracted a story about the supposed ties of a Trump ally and his connection to Russia, it’s becoming clear that CNN is losing whatever credibility it had left. Soon the major liberal news network will be little more than a “nothing burger”.
