Democrat politicians and left-leaning pundits have given significant attention to allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. But new information that has come to light that casts doubt on the validity of the accusations. In fact, it even places the suspicion of misconduct squarely on Hillary Clinton and the Democrats.
According to The Daily Caller, President Trump took to Twitter on Sunday to post a lengthy rebuke of the Left’s tactics, writing that “The Dems are using this terrible (and bad for our country) Witch Hunt for evil politics…”
The President asserted that instead of discrediting his administration, the accusations have strengthened his base: “Never seen such Republican ANGER & UNITY as I have concerning the lack of investigation on Clinton made Fake Dossier (now $12,000,000?),….”
He then went on to mention the Russia-related scandals in which the Democrats find themselves involved: “…the Uranium to Russia deal, the 33,000 plus deleted Emails, the Comey fix and so much more. Instead they look at phony Trump/Russia,….”
“…’collusion,’ which doesn’t exist. The Dems are using this terrible (and bad for our country) Witch Hunt for evil politics, but the R’s…” the President continued, before emphatically calling on the government to take action.
“…are now fighting back like never before. There is so much GUILT by Democrats/Clinton, and now the facts are pouring out. DO SOMETHING!” President Trump then ended his series of tweets by calling the allegations a distraction from his administration’s achievements:
“All of this “Russia” talk right when the Republicans are making their big push for historic Tax Cuts & Reform. Is this coincidental? NOT!” As Christian News Alerts reports, the stock market has been hitting record highs since Trump’s election and consumer sentiment has jumped to a 13-year high.
President Trump’s remarks allude to both the Uranium One scandal and the Clinton campaign and DNC’s funding of the widely discredited Russian dossier. As Breitbart notes, the Clinton State Department signed off on the deal that sold 20 percent of America’s uranium supply to a Russian government-aligned company.
What makes the situation even more relevant is new information showing the FBI, at the time, had evidence of Russian nuclear officials’ bribery and extortion related to a subsidiary of Uranium One, the company whose sale the Obama administration green-lighted. Moreover, the Clinton Foundation received $145 million from foreign investors involved in the deal. Former President Bill Clinton even traveled to Moscow, where he met Russian President Vladimir Putin and was paid $500,000 for a speech.
President Trump confronted the Democrats on Twitter for promoting a witch hunt against him. Do you agree with the President?
According to a bombshell Washington Post report last week, a law firm working for the Clinton campaign and the DNC paid for Fusion GPS’ Russian dossier–the one that claims President Trump hired a Russian prostitute to urinate on a bed slept on by former President Barack Obama and his wife.
Because the false information contained in the dossier was provided by Russian actors to former MI6 agent Christopher Steele, the Democrat Party did precisely what they have been accusing President Trump of doing, albeit indirectly: They worked with Russian officials to discredit a political opponent during an election year.
Given all this information, the President’s call to “DO SOMETHING” may just lead to legal consequences for Democrats.
