BREAKING: Trump Drops NYC Terrorism Bombshell, Media Shocked

In light of the recent terror attack that shook New York City, President Trump is making one common sense demand that has liberal politicians frustrated.

The President said that it’s the Democrat’s visa lottery program that allowed for this terror attack to happen in the first place, instead of a merit-based system that he proposes would be more stringent on potential immigrant backgrounds, according to Newsmax.

A driver in a rented pickup truck who mowed down many pedestrians and cyclists alongside the Hudson River turns out to have been awarded his visa from a lottery diversity program. Eight people were killed and around a dozen others were injured in what authorities are saying is the worst terrorist attack since 9/11.

Mr. Trump called out Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), in particular. The terrorist came into the country through what is called the “Diversity Visa Lottery Program,” a Chuck Schumer beauty. I want merit based,” he tweeted.

“We are fighting hard for Merit Based immigration, no more Democrat Lottery Systems. We must get MUCH tougher (and smarter),” he added. “Senator Chuck Schumer helping to import Europe’s problems” said Col.Tony Shaffer. We will stop this craziness!”

These tweets from the President came in light of a recent finding that the terrorist suspect in question, Sayfullo Saipov, acquired his visa under a diversity lottery program that was introduced by Chuck Schumer. Former presidential advisor Sebastian Gorka tweeted something to a similar effect, saying that “He ‘won’ his visa under the Diversity Lottery program introduced by none other than @SenSchumer.”

President Trump ordered the Department of Homeland Security to “step up our already Extreme Vetting Program,” which will entail more stringent investigative measures to help identify those who might have ideological sympathies with extremist organizations.

The diversity program in question that allowed Saipov to enter America provides up to 50,000 visas annually by lottery. At the minimum, applicants must have a high school diploma or specific work experience requirements. It came effect during the George H.W. Bush administration in 1990 and has remained active in the country ever since. Schumer, who was then a member of the House of Representatives, already proposed a “diversity” bill for immigrants earlier that same year.

Despite these recent events, Schumer still stuck to his position that he has “always believed and continue to believe that immigration is good for America,” and that President Trump is “politicizing and dividing America, which he always seems to do at times of national tragedy.”

“President Trump, where is your leadership,” Schumer said, “The contrast between President Bush’s actions after 9/11 and President Trump’s actions this morning could not be starker.” Schumer further asked for the President to rescind his proposed cuts to anti-terrorism funding in his budget, according to Fox News.

The president says the Left’s policies contributed to the attack. Do you agree?

Schumer wasn’t the only politician to go after Mr. Trump. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), one of the President’s main Republican adversaries, said that Trump was unfairly blaming Schumer for the diversity program. Flake said that at one point, he and seven other Republican and Democrat senators were open to eliminating the program some years ago. Although Flake announced recently he wasn’t going to run for re-election, he did say he wouldn’t remain silent in his criticism of the President.

Attacks such as these go to show just how important it is to keep a stringent immigration policy, lest events such as these become a commonplace occurrence.
