Billionaire George Soros has been a significant backer of progressive causes all across the world, leveraging his substantial wealth to prop up organizations that further his progressive idealistic aims.
Antifa is one of the groups that receives significant funding from Soros, but it turns out that many of his protesters are more interested in pocketing a paycheck than genuinely caring about their causes. What happens when Soros doesn’t pay his protesters, you might ask? Dismal turnout, with hardly a dozen people showing up to rally in Atlanta. (via Fox 5 Atlanta)
Refuse Fascism Atlanta is demanding the impeachment of the president and is holding a rally that is part of a series of major national protests against the Trump administration. They claim that “Donald Trump has been in blatant violation of the Constitution from the day he was sworn into the office of president… It is time that congressional representatives do their job and start the process to impeach this president. We believe President Trump has committed constitutional breaches, consistently lied, cheated, and enforces laws that primarily benefit him and his billionaire friends at the expense of the country.” (via Fox 5 Atlanta)
This would be particularly concerning, as many of these protests have turned violent in that past, such as at Berkeley where they shut down a speaking engagement with controversial conservative Milo Yiannopoulos. However, when not getting a paycheck, these supposed “agitators” don’t bother showing up.
George Soros has a history of funding left-wing protest groups, with some even getting classified as a domestic terrorist organization by the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security. Antifa’s history of disrupting events includes a “Make America Great Again” event in Philadelphia, which was so drastic that authorities had to shut the event down, and even a plot to desecrate monuments and gravestones on a July 4th Gettysburg re-enactment.
The successes of many of these events have come in no small part due to the backing of Soros’ gigantic wealth. But when the billionaire’s money stops trickling into these protests, they fall apart like a flimsy house of cards blown away by the wind. Such was the case in Atlanta.
Antifa’s success in disrupting American interests is directly correlated with Soros’ financial involvement, and the former cannot survive without the latter. While hearing of Soros’ involvement is still worrisome, it’s reassuring to know that many of these anti-Trump efforts are not genuine representations of the American people’s will.
Antifa and other anti-Trump protestors have been wreaking havoc in our nation. Do you support President Trump?
But even without direct Soros involvement, many anti-Trump protestors are being paid to show up by their employers. In fact, tech companies in California are paying their employees to take days off work and protest against Trump. The San Francisco Chronicle reports that a number of companies now have policies that allow their employees to take paid time off for political or civic activities. This includes activities such as protesting and canvassing. (via San Francisco Chronicle)
Regardless, a true patriot doesn’t need to get paid before they show up for a cause they care about. As opposed to these “agitators-for-hire,” defending causes that make the United States great is an honor and privilege in and of itself, something these Antifa protesters can’t say for themselves.
