Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the current White House Press Secretary, had enough with a liberal reporter that tried to question her on the false Trump-Russia narrative.
Going off-script, she focused on how the press systematically ignores all the Democrats’ real collusion scandals and, instead focuses on the Russia story. “The only thing I see misleading is a year’s worth of stories that have been fueling a false narrative about this Russia collusion and a phony scandal based on anonymous sources … Democrats actually colluded with a foreign government like Ukraine.”
On Monday night, Huckabee Sanders spoke at a press conference in which she lambasted the mainstream media for their blatant use of fake news.
“You guys want to create a narrative that just doesn’t exist. Everybody wants to make try to make this some story about misleading,” she said in response to a question regards Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyer. “If you want to talk about somebody who’s actually been tough on Russia look at President Trump. If you guys want to talk further about a relationship with Russia, look no further than the Clintons.”
Huckabee Sanders is not only an excellent spokesperson for the president, but she speaks for Americans all across the country. Popular sentiment is that people have wearied of the mainstream media’s constant attacks on the president. Less than one-third of Americans trust what the mass media has to say, sinking to an all-time low. According to a Gallup poll, only 32 percent of the population trusts mainstream media outlets, declining from 72 percent in 1972.
Americans aren’t stupid and they’re figuring out that the media isn’t providing unbiased reporting. Democrat scandals have been much more frequent and severe in scope than those falsely reported of the Trump administration. Yet, the Democrats’ scandals fail to receive their fair share of coverage.
In the shocking case of Florida Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s IT aide who laundered millions of dollars overseas in a series of criminal schemes–a scandal so large that it could sink numerous members of the Democrat Party–we see hardly any coverage from the mainstream media.
“Watching news outlets go out of their way to hide a potentially huge Democratic scandal is almost funny…this is a story the press would generally like. But instead…ABC and NBC ignored it completely in the first 24 hours…CBS covered it for all of 37 seconds,” wrote one media expert who called out the media’s bias, according to Breitbart.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders took the media to task for focusing on the false narrative of a Trump-Russia collusion. Do you think the media is hurting Trump’s agenda with this narrative?
The Clintons on their own have enough corruption to justify a years’ worth of news coverage alone–if the news was truly impartial in the first place. From the Clinton Foundation, to the swap for uranium with the Russian government, to Bill Clinton getting a half-million dollar speech in Moscow, Hillary Clinton’s e-mail server, and many more scandals still unmentioned. There is no shortage of real scandals to report on and definitely no need to resort to making some up.
