American conservatives have long accused the American Left of being unpatriotic or anti-American. One unfunny comedian just proved those naysayers right.
On Friday, Rosie O’Donnell, a long-time critic of President Trump, took to Twitter in order to talk directly to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. With a bizarre pig-face filter on, O’Donnell told Kim to not listen to President Trump and to ignore him like most Americans do.
O’Donnell used the hashtags “#Resist” and “#TrumpRussia” in the odd message.
Ironically, O’Donnell spends most of her time online criticizing President Trump for being mentally imbalanced.
While such antics are par for course when it comes to the Left, it is still somewhat shocking to see a well-paid American citizen essentially siding with a communist dictatorship in Asia.
O’Donnell and the #Resistance crowd know perfectly well what life is like in North Korea.
Under the tyrannical thumb of Kim Jong-un, North Korean citizens are banned from reading or listening to international news. Those who want to indulge in such activities must do it with absolute secrecy, for the government encourages North Korean citizens to spy on each other.
O’Donnell, a proud lesbian who has a history of advocating for LGBTQ causes, should know that gays do not live wonderful lives in the “Hermit Kingdom.” Mrs. O’Donnell seems to be wholly unaware of the many struggles and hardships imposed upon the North Korean people by their dictator. She has an embarrassingly weak grasp on world news and politics.
O’Donnell’s bizarre Twitter rant shows just how unhinged the Left has become since the election of Donald Trump. For his critics, Trump is “literally Hitler” and other ridiculous things. This is why they have increasingly partnered with radical Islam, an ideology that would love to send them to God as soon as possible, because they see in it a fellow force that can be wielded against Trump.
O’Donnell is also not the first Hollywood celebrity to openly embrace a far-Left dictatorship. Known radical Sean Penn once glowingly interviewed Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez, a socialist tyrant who rigged elections while his people starved. In 1972, Jane Fonda traveled to Hanoi, North Vietnam and posed for pictures with North Vietnamese anti-aircraft guns. At the time, U.S. soldiers were still stationed in South Vietnam and were daily fighting the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army.
To put it in perspective, Fonda’s actions would be akin to a well-known Hollywood liberal traveling to Raqqa today in order to pose with ISIS fighters.
Rosie O’Donnell took to Twitter to tell Kim Jong-un not to listen to President Trump and to ignore him like most Americans do. Are you sick of hearing O’Donnell’s anti-Trump ranting?
As silly as O’Donnell’s post is, it does speak volumes about the loyalty of the American Left. For all of their outrage about supposed Russian interference in the 2016 election, Democrats have a history of partnering with foreign nations in order to win previous presidential elections.
For people like O’Donnell, anything that hurts Trump or makes him look bad is a good thing. This even means sending warm messages to a communist dictator who has threatened the United States with nuclear warfare. This is why the Democrats keep losing and will keep on losing in 2017.
