The feud between Rosie O’Donnell and Trump has been raging for over ten years. The pair has argued over the removal of Miss USA’s crown and even resorted to verbal barbs.
Their feud continues even now. O’Donnell recently tweeted a disturbing recommendation for a game that allows players to kill the president. Can you imagine if a Republican had done this instead? (via Western Journalism)
On Saturday, O’Donnell sent out a tweet promoting a game called, “Push Trump Off A Cliff Again.” In the tweet, she linked to the game with the description that you can, “Take out your frustrations with President by pushing him off a virtual cliff, or into a virtual volcano.” (via Rosie O’Donnell on Twitter)
The game was created by Justin Hook, a comedian who used to work on the show Bob’s Burgers as a writer. Since the game went live on the website www.pushtrumpoffacliffagain.com, it has been played over 2 million times.
The lengthy feud between Trump and Rosie started in 2006 when it was revealed that Miss USA, Tara Conner, had been accused of drug use. Rosie wanted Trump, who was owner of the pageant at that time, to remove her title. In a press conference, Trump decided to allow Conner to keep the crown.
Rosie attacked Trump for his mercy on ABC’s The View, using her position as co-host to criticize Trump, referring to old bankruptcy allegations, failed marriages, and referred to him as a “snake-oil salesman.” This led to Trump retaliating in People magazine, calling her “a woman out of control” and threatened to sue her. Since then, the two have exchanged snide and cutting remarks over a variety of issues including Rosie announcing her new girlfriend, her return to The View, and Trump’s campaign platform.
This latest tweet comes on the heels of another comedian, Kathy Griffin, using the concept of Trump’s death to spark controversy and supposedly create laughs. In May, she posed for a photo shoot holding a mock severed head of Donald Trump which resulted in huge backlash, scarring her career.
It’s too early to determine if this tweet has damaged Rosie’s reputation, but it’s already started to generate controversy, with conservatives such as Sean Hannity blasting the tweet, calling it “sick” and “gross.” Hannity has also pointed out that Rosie frequently uses social media to attack Trump and referred to a video she released in 2016 suggesting Trump’s son, Barron, had autism. (via Hannity.com)
Several celebrities have said terrible things about Trump and his family. Are you tired of anti-Trump Hollywood?
The video speculated the possibility of Barron Trump having a form of autism and was followed up with a tweet with a link to the video from Rosie, saying, “Barron Trump Autistic? If so – what an amazing opportunity to bring attention to the AUTISM epidemic.” (via Hannity.com)
To her credit, Rosie did apologize publicly to the Trump family over the video. Hannity acknowledged this, but suggests he’s not going to hold his breath to see if another apology happens this time.
Let’s see if the liberal media is as concerned about this as they were about the Reddit video depicting Trump pummeling CNN. More than likely they won’t be.
