BREAKING: Nasty Pop Star BANS “Old Glory” From Her Concerts

Hollywood and the pop music scene was never really a haven for conservatives and America-loving patriots. But things were never this bad. It just goes to show how far we have sunk as a nation.

Pop singer Lana Del Rey has decided to pull the American Flag off her tour. Why? According to her, she “feels less safe” because Donald Trump is the President, according to The Daily Caller.

It is unclear what kind of sheltered upbringing one must have to feel so “unsafe” just because they disagree with their president; so “unsafe” that they would take down their own country’s flag. However, it seems that the music industry frequently produces these types of people.

“It’s certainly uncomfortable,” said the singer in an interview. “I definitely changed my visuals on my tour videos. I’m not going to have the American flag waving while I’m singing ‘Born to Die.’ It’s not going to happen.”

She continues, “I feel less safe than I did when [Barack] Obama was president. When you have a leader at the top of the pyramid who is casually being loud and funny about things like that, it’s brought up character defects in people who already have the propensity to be violent towards women. I saw it right away in LA. Walking down the street, people would just say things to you that I had never heard.”

Since when was our President “loud and funny?” In almost every press release, his demeanor is presidential and professional. Rey goes on to further describe her feelings.

“Women started to feel less safe under this administration instantly,” Rey said. “What if they take away Planned Parenthood? What if we can’t get birth control?” Now we’ve gotten to the crux of the issue. She feels “threatened” because women might not have the right to terminate their pregnancies. If anything, this is a moral issue. In many eyes, ending a life because of intrinsic irresponsibility is an ethical concern.

The fact that Trump’s administration is concerned with this issue is the exact opposite of a character defect; it’s a sign of good character.

Of course, when the predominantly liberal entertainment industry is as cloistered and sheltered as it is, anything can make them feel threatened.

In terms of protecting women’s interests, would Rey have felt safer if Hillary Clinton was elected president instead? Clinton supported late term abortions. There were many instances in which the former Secretary of State demeaned women. In her career as a lawyer, she defended a rapist and smeared his 12-year-old victim, suggesting the young girl had a “tendency to seek out older men.”

She was even caught on tape laughing as the prosecutor’s evidence was dismissed. “He took a lie detector test. I had him take a polygraph, which he passed, which forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs,” Clinton said at the time, laughing.

Does that make Rey feel less safe? It should! The only way that someone can genuinely feel “unsafe” from Trump is if she solely relied on the mainstream media’s caricature of him. As for Rey, she should expect a conservative boycott soon, as supporters of this nation’s flag aren’t going to put up with it anymore.
