Democrats claim that they are the party of science, when in reality they are the party that makes anti-scientific claims like:
“Your genitals don’t make you a boy or a girl.” This is the latest anti-scientific claim from the leading provider of abortion, Planned Parenthood. The Independent Journal Review is reporting on the recent changes to the Planned Parenthood website helping parents talk to their children.
The “How do I talk with my preschooler about their body?” section of the Planned Parenthood website underwent recent changes to better fit the progressive narrative.
The website used to explain that, “[b]oys have penises and girls have vulvas.” However, this is now a politically incorrect statement. Planned Parenthood now advises parents to tell their children that, “some people with the gender identities ‘boy’ or ‘man’ have vulvas, and some with the gender identity ‘girl’ or ‘woman’ have penises/testicles.”
Planned Parenthood also recently changed their position on who has breasts. They used to offer the simple explanation that, “Women have breasts. Men don’t.” However, in the politically correct world of 2017, who has breasts is a conversation too complex for preschoolers.
“When answering questions, don’t worry about going into every detail.” The website advises. “For example, if your little one asks what those spots on their chest are. You can say, “Those are nipples. Everybody has nipples.” You don’t have to explain breastfeeding or why everyone has nipples even though not everyone breastfeeds.”
The recent changes to the Planned Parenthood website reflect the non-profit’s commitment to fight against basic science. In a recent appearance on Fox News, Planned Parenthood Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens refused to answer whether or not an unborn baby was a human being, according to the National Review.
An unborn baby is composed of 100 percent human cells, has a self-sustaining heart beat, and a unique set of chromosomes differing from the mother. Despite the clear scientific basis, many progressives reject that an unborn baby is a unique life, instead believing it is a bunch of cells.
Perhaps Dawn Laguens avoids the question because she does not want to hurt Planned Parenthood’s bottom line. Planned Parenthood is a non-profit, but Breitbart reports that the organization generates hundreds of millions of dollars in excess revenue each year and holds over $1 billion in assets.
Planned Parenthood advises parents to tell their children, “Your genitals don’t make you a boy or a girl.” Would you rely on them for parenting information?
While the agency attempts to downplay the amount of abortions they provide, at least 94 percent of their “pregnancy services” are providing abortions. Prenatal care comprised 5 percent of their pregnancy services, while adoption services accounted for only 0.5 percent. For every adoption referral Planned Parenthood makes, they abort 174 babies.
Providing abortions has generated millions of dollars for Planned Parenthood, undermining any incentive to conform to the scientific consensus. Now, Planned Parenthood is hoping to cash in on encouraging children to be confused about their gender.
At the same time that Planned Parenthood changed the advice they offer parents, they announced that they would start offering hormone therapy for transgender patients. “This is a fee for service program,” their website says, while conveniently adding that “We will work with you to bill your insurance if you wish.”
