North Korea has become an ever-increasing problem, especially since President Trump took office. North Korea’s dictator, Kim Jong-un, seems determined to try and intimidate Trump, as well as eventually test out a nuclear ICBM on the United States.
North Korea is obviously a serious threat to the national security of the United States. However, Nancy Pelosi doesn’t seem to be taking it seriously, as she giggled when being asked about the potential for nuclear war in a recent press conference. (via Conservative Tribune)
Pelosi had just finished her thoughts on a question about the importance of funding the arts when a reporter decided to segue into the recent ICBM test launch by North Korea’s dictator, Kim Jong-un. “Speaking of the arts, Kim Jong-un has been celebrating their ICBM launch with some cultural events,” the reporter said.
Nancy Pelosi seemed to lose her composure and started giggling while the reporter asked the question. What’s going on here? In truth, questions about Pelosi’s mental state are nothing new, as examples of odd or strange behavior by Pelosi in interviews, meetings, and press conferences abound.
In June, Pelosi was interviewed by MSNBC’s Morning Joe to talk about President Trump’s well-being. She believed that Trump needed more sleep and that his family, “should be more concerned about his health.” Yet she started to display symptoms that should perhaps concern herself and her family when she began rambling about his need for sleep and stating that his condition was “hopefully not reparable.”
That same morning during a press conference, she called President Trump “President Bush.” She had mistaken President Trump for President Bush previously as well.
In February she gave a speech to members of Families USA, a liberal organization opposing the repeal of Obamacare. She reportedly repeated her words, slurred her speech, waved her hands awkwardly, demanded the audience clap, and mispronounced multiple words.
When Trump went oversees to visit various countries, the left was quick to criticize him for his visit to Saudi Arabia with claims that he was appealing to his own ego and craved attention. Yet Pelosi’s complaint was a stranger one; she seemed more upset that he didn’t visit the countries in alphabetical order, saying, “It was unusual for the President of the United States to go to Saudi Arabia first. Saudi Arabia? It wasn’t even alphabetical.”
Whether Pelosi is aware of her unsettling behavior or not is unclear. Allegedly she was ready to retire this year, but decided to remain in office when Hillary Clinton lost the election. She claimed she was sure Clinton would win the election, but that, “It was really shocking that somebody like Donald Trump could be president of the United States. […] But anyway, that motivated me to stay.” (via The Washington Examiner)
The increasing number of treasonous leaks by members of the “deep state” and Nancy Pelosi’s questionable behavior make it apparent that term limits on Congress are necessary. President Trump has been advocating for term limits since his campaign.
What do you think? Is it time for Pelosi’s constituents to finally bring her home? Let everyone know in the poll below!
Serving in Congress requires stamina of mind and body. Congressmen deal with extremely difficult situations and complex problems day-in and day-out. It is imperative that anyone wishing to be — or currently serving — in Congress is of sound mind.
Of course, this analysis is only going by what’s publicly observable. People get confused sometimes and slip up when speaking — especially when they’re exhausted or stressed. There’s no telling for sure at this point what’s going on with Pelosi, other than Trump Derangement Syndrome. But everyone should still be concerned about her behavior.
