Conservative author, lawyer, and syndicated radio show host, Mark Levin, laid down the truth about Democrats in Congress recently.
The radio host said, “Maybe it’s time we expel Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats from Congress … if they’re going to talk about impeachment, well then we need to talk about expulsion … it’s time to go on the offense.”
On his radio show, Levin played various clips of Nancy Pelosi contradicting herself, stating how “You don’t impeach someone because you don’t like their policy, you impeach them because they break the law.” Despite the fact that Trump hasn’t broken the law, Pelosi advocates for impeaching him on the basis of “misleading” the public.
“We’re trying to unite the country,” she said in one of Mark’s clips. An ironic comment, to be sure, as it seems that even though the American public voted for Trump, she can’t help but rant about a possible Trump impeachment.
Levin went on the offensive, saying that “if George Bush should have been impeached for Iraq, then most of the Democrats should’ve been expelled, including Hillary Clinton, because she voted for it.”
He then brings up another good point: what is the justification behind this constant talk of impeachment?
Trump hasn’t taken money from foreign governments, unlike the Clinton Foundation. He hasn’t committed any crimes or misdemeanors. In truth, Democrats are being hypocritical and are upset that Trump is using the full force of the presidential office to get things done.
Nancy Pelosi doesn’t care about the Constitution, nor did she care when Obama ignored it for his own agenda. Open borders and unrestrained immigration were not what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they penned the Constitution.
As Mark said, “it’s all just a means to an end.”
Surprisingly enough, Mark Levin is joined by other Democrats who believe Pelosi is poisonous to their party.
Representative Tim Ryan (D-OH) stated in a CNN interview with Don Lemon, that “the brand is a just brand. I don’t think people in the beltway are realizing just how toxic the Democratic Party brand is in so many parts of the country.” (via RealClear Politics)
“I think that in certain areas, like in some of the special election districts, it doesn’t benefit our candidates to be tied to her,” Ryan said in reference to Pelosi.
He even said that Pelosi is “less popular than Donald Trump in my district”!
As for the reasons why, he worries that the Democrats get so obsessed and angered by Trump that they can’t focus on other, more down-to-earth messages.
“We’re not focusing on the economic messages. People in Ohio … aren’t really talking about Russia or Michael Flynn or Putin or anything else. They’re worried about paying the bills, what’s happening with our pension, how much does it cost to send a kid to school, what’s our energy bill like. The real bread and butter stuff. And when we’re talking about Trump so much we’re not talking about them,” Ryan added.
It seems like common sense is finally beginning to find its way into at least a few elected Democrats. Constantly talking about Trump and their disapproval of his victory makes figures like Nancy Pelosi seem like a bunch of spoiled children, whining how things didn’t go their way — and ultimately preventing them from connecting and relating to the American public.
Mark Levin is right: the people need to retire Nancy Pelosi.
