Former popular actress and co-host of The View, Rosie O’ Donnell is back at preaching anti-Trump hate again. Her latest verbal assault versus President Trump may be her worst yet.
O’Donnell took to Twitter Tuesday to spread her hatred further. In the Tweet, she states that “If you stand next 2 and work for adolf trump – yes u f****** are a nazi @amoral_Drumpf” Despite her other instances of faux outrage, this post definitely seems to be the most direct. Comparing President Trump to Hitler in any way shape or form is not only dishonest but also lazy.
As Fox News points out, the outrage seems to come from President Trump’s press conference where he simply stated that while yes, Nazi’s and white supremacists are bad, they were not the only ones causing violence in Charlottesville.
The controversy that O’Donnell is feeding off of comes from the dramatization of President Trump’s press conferences on Saturday and Sunday. The conference centered around the “Unite the Right” rally where, tragically, a young woman named Heather Heyer was murdered by a white supremacist.
Of course, everyone condemned the horrible action, including President Trump, as the event was unfolding Saturday. However, he didn’t call out Nazis and white supremacists by name because the details were not yet released on who killed Heyer.
Sunday, after all of the details surfaced, or at least enough for another press conference, President Trump came out and condemned both the “Alt-Left” and the “Alt-Right” for the violence which eventually led to Heyer’s death.
Instead of cheering the President for calling out all of those perpetrating the violence–in person, and on his Twitter page, he received a large amount of backlash, as expected. The President even wrote a small memorial for Heather Heyer, yet it was not enough for the Left.
Rosie O’Donnell let her frustrations run even deeper in a second tweet where she states that “republicans – this is on you – every single one of you who stand by this madman – do something – denounce him – file articles of impeachment.”
It seems that despite coming out and speaking against the events that occurred, then coming out again and denouncing racism, Nazis, and white supremacists, and then, acknowledging Heyer at the time of her death and her funeral, it still isn’t enough to appease people like O’Donnell.
The context of the previous tweet has left many people scratching their heads. Why should Republicans file articles of impeachment? Why should the Right denounce him? What has President Trump done to deserve this kind of treatment during the Charlottesville attack, or in general that would call for an impeachment? None of this is even remotely the stuff of High Crimes and Misdemeanors.
Rosie is advertising a game where you get to push Trump off a cliff. Should this be illegal?
This is not the first time O’Donnell has been under fire for taking it too far. According to Fox News, O’Donnell recently advertised on Twitter a game where you get to push President Trump off a cliff.
The final bit of irony is the fact that she wants the President impeached for condoning violence, yet she openly promotes games that promote violence against the President. As one Twitter user responded to her tweet about the game, “…Hypocrisy thy name is Rosie.”
