Many in the mainstream media and Democrat party are taking the time to search into our history and root out, condemn, and destroy monuments to supposed racists. We should take the opportunity to expose one of the most pervasive racist institutions in American society — the Democrat Party.
According to Archives.gov, upon his death in 2010, the Ku Klux Klan Grand Dragon and Senator Robert Byrd received quite a eulogy from Barack Obama, who said, “America has lost a voice of principle and reason with the passing of Robert C. Byrd.” Obama said about the former Klan recruiter. Former Vice President Joe Biden described the racist senator as “a very close friend of mine, one of my mentors.”
In the aftermath of the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, maybe liberals are demanding the destruction of statues and monuments dedicated to former Confederate soldiers and their families.
Baltimore Mayor, Catherine Pugh (D), ordered the removal of four Confederate-era statues the night after the Charlottesville protests. She defended her decision on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, saying “there is just too much protest, and I think what we have to begin to do in this nation is to heal.”
If, according to Pugh, the destruction of racist symbols is necessary for our nation to heal, than the next target of the Democrat mayor should be the destruction of the Democrat party.
Since the very first days of the Republican party, the Republicans and Democrats have been in opposition. The Republicans formed from the anti-slavery branch of the Whig party. Early members did not think the Whigs were doing enough to combat slavery. Democrats, on the other hand, were attempting to undermine the new anti-slave party by insultingly calling them the “black Republican party,” according to Bill Whittle.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) succinctly described the relationship between racists and the Democrat party. “The Democrats are the party of the Ku Klux Klan,” Cruz said on Fox News. “You look at the most racist. You look at the Dixiecrats; they were Democrats who imposed segregation, imposed Jim Crow laws, who founded the Klan. The Klan was founded by a great many Democrats. Now, the Democrats just accuse anyone they disagree with of being a racist.”
Keeping with tradition, today, Democrats are accusing President Trump of racism for waiting two days to condemn the white supremacists in Virginia by name. However, no Democrat has denounced the past of the most racist political party in American history.
President Obama delivered an admiring eulogy upon the death of Ku Klux Klan Grand Dragon Senator Robert Byrd. Did you know Obama admired the former KKK member?
Democrat racism is not just a relic of the past. Even recent members, such as Democrat Senator Robert Byrd, were heavily involved in the Ku Klux Klan. Byrd started his political career in the Klan, and the young West Virginian recruited more than 150 of his friends to don the hood. He was so successful that an official in the Klan urged Byrd to enter politics, according to The Washington Post.
Years after Robert Byrd claims he left the racist organization, he sent a letter to a member of the Klan. “The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia,” said the Democrat Senator.
