It is well known that mainstream media outlets are oozing bias; specifically, they lean to the Left. One of the most famous publications known for this kind of bias is The New York Times. There has never been a smoking gun to prove this argument, until now.
During an undercover interview with The NY Times, senior homepage editor Des Shoe revealed the truth to James O’Keefe. O’Keefe also revealed a famous CNN reporter saying the Russia scandal is a big “nothingburger.” In this interview with Shoe, according to The Washington Times, she revealed their true intentions when she said: “I think one of the things that maybe journalists were thinking about is, like, ‘oh, if we write about him, about how insanely crazy he is and how ludicrous his policies are,’ then maybe people will read it and be like, ‘oh wow, we shouldn’t vote for him.’”
It doesn’t get any clearer than that. This admission shows they purposely tried to manipulate the views of people to change the way they vote. This behavior, hiding behind the protection of the First Amendment, violates every measure of journalistic ethics.
They claim that they are unbiased and delivering everything from an objective view. However, this claim is proven to be false by the revelation facilitated by Project Veritas.
Shoe’s NY Times bio reads that she is “part of the team that produces the digital report for the home page and mobile feeds.” However, when she was being recorded, she admitted that she “curates the front page.”
In the interview, she said that the paper is “widely, widely understood to be left-leaning.” She went on to confirm that, “Our main stories are supposed to be objective. It’s very difficult in this day and age to do that.”
That sentence says a lot. Shoe is admitting that it is hard for those who work for The NY Times to tell the truth. One of the primary goals of a journalist is to find the truth, no matter how bad it conflicts with their personal interests.
Instead of doing that, Shoe played right into the bias and used President Trump to try to boost subscriptions. She even admits, “Since the election, like, you know, speaking on, you know, for The New York Times, our subscriptions have skyrocketed since — I mean, they call it the Trump bump,”
After Shoe made that statement, one person in the recording asks Shoe if what she is doing is pandering. She responded, “What else are you supposed to do?”
Then she started attacking the President in a brutal fashion, unbecoming for a supposedly “objective” journalist. That this person “curates” the front page of The NY Times is stunning in its informational corruption.
The NY Times admits to slandering Trump. Should there be repercussions?
On Trump, she said, “I feel like Trump is, is just a, is sort of an idiot in a lot of ways. Just an oblivious idiot.” She also went on to attack Mike Pence and called him “f****** horrible.”
Through his Project Veritas, O’Keefe has managed to expose both CNN and The NY Times. It will be interesting to see where he goes next with his special reports.
One thing is for sure: when it comes to the truth, it doesn’t get any more clear than this admission.
