Voter fraud via illegal immigrants has been a raging debate between Republicans who insist there’s a problem and Democrats who claim it doesn’t exist. The president even created a Presidential Commission on Election Integrity to combat voter fraud across the nation.
After the 2016 election, President Trump claimed he lost the popular vote due to illegal alien voter fraud. While that has not been confirmed, Lou Dobbs recently drew attention to a study that estimates at least 834,000 illegal immigrants voted for Hillary. (via Washington Times)
Political scientist Jessie Richman at the Old Dominion University in Virginia conducted a study that determined there are around 20 million non-citizens in the U.S. and 6.4 percent of that population likely voted in the 2016 presidential election. It was estimated that 81 percent of those votes would have been for Hillary, making the number of illegal immigrant votes for Hillary about 834,000.
The basis for the study is a polling questionnaire called the Cooperative Congressional Election Survey. The survey, utilized by 28 universities, asks people who confirmed they voted in the recent election a variety of questions. Among those questions is one about citizenship status, and a number of those who took the survey admitted anonymously in the survey they were not citizens when they voted. (via Washington Times)
Democrats have been quick to dismiss the evidence of voter fraud by illegal immigrants and have declared that any attempts to investigate the fraud is voter suppression. They have been extremely critical of Trump’s attempts to investigate fraud and filed a motion to put a temporary hold on Trump’s commission looking into the matter that ultimately failed.
It seems strange that the Democratic party would want to prevent investigations into voter fraud. Even if there wasn’t any evidence as they claim, what would be the harm? Either the Democratic party is trying to hide voter fraud or they’ve simply determined that illegal immigrants are citizens too and thus their votes aren’t fraud.
Former President Obama, when asked if illegal immigrants should be worried about trying to vote during the campaign, said, “Many of the millennials, Dreamers, undocumented citizens — and I call them citizens because they contribute to this country — are fearful of voting. ‘So, if I vote will immigration know where I live? Will they come for my family and deport us?'” (via Washington Times)
Obama assured illegal immigrants this would not happen, saying, “Not true, and the reason is, first of all, when you vote, you are a citizen yourself. And there is not a situation where the voting rolls somehow are transferred over and people start investigating, etc. The sanctity of the vote is strictly confidential.” (via Washington Times)
It’s shocking that President Obama and his fellow Democrats consider illegal immigrants citizens because they “contribute” and “vote.” Furthermore, he assured that no investigations would be made to determine if any voters were, in fact, illegal immigrants.
Lou Dobbs confirmed that voter fraud is an issue. Should voter fraud be heavily investigated?
The reason Democrats are claiming there isn’t any voter fraud is because they don’t believe illegal immigrants voting is considered fraud!
Studies like this help prove the claim Trump made on the campaign trail that millions of illegal immigrants voted for Hillary to help her win the election. If a study based on actual data obtained from a sample of the population determined the number was 834,000, who knows how many cases of fraud actually exist.
Even worse is that Democrats have absolutely no intention of investigating this fraud, because to them it’s not fraud. It’s fortunate that Trump and his commission are pushing through the obstacles to investigate voter fraud. When you consider the beliefs of the Democrats, it’s likely there’s going to be voter fraud on a massive scale in the future.
