Libs Cry About DACA, But Here’s the Real Average Age of These “Kids”

The biggest weapon that any conservative needs when discussing the claims of liberals is cold, hard statistics. No matter how much emotional pandering or manipulating those on the Left will try, pulling on one’s heartstrings doesn’t work when people are aware of the truth.

Liberals across the nation have been crying over the DACA repeal, lamenting the loss of this Obama pet-project. In response to President Trump’s decision to rescind this program, Barack Obama felt it necessary to step in, writing a Facebook post claiming that DACA recipients were a “group of young people” and “posed no threat.” Unfortunately for him, the statistics are in – the average age is 25 years old, and many have already committed crimes, according to The Daily Caller.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), data released between August 2012 and September 2013 shows that 74,600 applicants accepted for DACA were between the age of 25-39, with over 10,000 being 30 years or older.

To break the liberal narrative further, the DHS even stated, “Since the start of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program in 2012, approximately 1,500 recipients have had their deferred action terminated due to a criminal conviction, gang affiliation, or a criminal conviction related to gang affiliation.”

In other words, what Obama said was entirely untrue. Those protected by DACA are not the young children and teens that he would have us believe, but many full-fledged adults – some with criminal histories. Of course, considering that many of these crimes don’t get reported, or their perpetrators don’t get caught, the numbers in truth are probably much higher.

The next heartstring liberals would most likely try to pull is one regarding the separating of families due to this decision. Of course, nothing is stopping these illegal immigrant parents from going back with their children as well.

Kris Kobach, Kansas Secretary of State, personally appeared on Fox & Friends where he explained that DACA, no matter the kind of emotional case you make, is illegal and “violates three different federal laws” as well as the fact “it violates the United States Constitution.”

“It needs to end. Look, if someone like Heraldo believes that there’s a compelling emotional case for giving people who came to the US at a young age amnesty, then take his case to congress. Our Constitution is very clear; our founding fathers allowed amnesty…but only the legislative branch has that power. You cannot go around congress as President Obama did and created an executive amnesty.”

On top of that, it’s not like Trump is kicking out all 800,000 illegal immigrants shielded by DACA immediately. The program is slowly being let expire over the next six months, giving those affected by it more than enough time to prepare themselves and make arrangements.

The unconstitutional DACA program was “sold” to the public with an emotional appeal about young people and was flawed from the beginning. Do you think Congress will be able to act concerning these “young” people?

This idea that children are going to be rounded up and herded like cattle across the border is completely false and is an image that the Left loves to peddle in order to draw up emotional sympathy.

Facts don’t lie, but people do. As responsible citizens, we must see the world as it really is, as opposed to how we want to see it. We must examine the veracity of claims made by those who would attempt to skew the facts in order to create an emotional response.

As for Obama’s claims, they won’t be fooling too many people, especially those who actually have to deal with the consequences of illegal immigration.
