Hillary Clinton’s detractors have long slammed her for her allegedly questionable handling of money. Although she claims to be done running for office, Clinton is remaining involved in politics, in part through her involvement in the organization Onward Together–a group that supports left-wing causes and candidates.
But as Daily Caller reports, Onward Together appears to be discreetly financing Alt-Left and “resistance” groups similar to Antifa. This comes right as the tide of public opinion is turning against often-violent Antifa agitators.
As the Washington Post notes, Clinton asserts she is “done with being a candidate.” Yet she maintains she will remain involved in American politics “because I literally believe that our country’s future is at stake.”
As covered by USA Today, Clinton’s Onward Together is intended to promote the left-wing grassroots by encouraging the base to “get involved, organize, and even run for office.” The organization includes former Vermont Governor and 2004 presidential candidate Howard Dean.
According to the Onward Together website, the organization “is dedicated to advancing the vision that earned nearly 66 million votes in the last election.” They claim to “advance progressive values and work to build a brighter future for generations to come.”
Since its founding, Onward Together appears to have achieved nothing tangible. But as Daily Caller investigative reporters discovered, Clinton transferred $800,000 of her campaign money to the new group on May 1.
Surprisingly, that was before Clinton even announced she was launching Onward Together. The day after the funds transfer, Clinton claimed to be part of the “resistance” that stands against the policies of President Trump.
Interestingly, Onward Together was established as a 501(c)4 “social welfare” organization, which means it is not required to disclose the identity of its donors. However, the Daily Caller investigation has led to some possible recipients.
According to Gateway Pundit, Onward Together has given money to Alt-Left extremist groups. Information found in an email the organization sent to its subscribers suggests Onward Together is financially supporting five “resistance” groups. Daily Caller reached out to all five. Four of the groups would neither confirm nor deny financial backing from Onward Together.
The fifth group, a Soros-linked entity named Indivisible, denied receiving money from Clinton’s organization. However, their spokesperson said that Onward Together has “been amplifying and highlighting our work through their digital networks,” meaning they have been “retweeting [Indivisible], and they’ve highlighted our work via their emails to their list too.”
Hillary’s group – Onward Together – appears to be discreetly financing resistance groups. Is it time for Hillary to go home to retire from public life?
The Alt-Left extremist group Antifa has fallen out of favor with the public following some notable acts of violence against peaceful right-wing demonstrators. As Breitbart notes, even several prominent Republican politicians supported Antifa following the violence and deaths in Charlottesville, Virginia, last month.
However, as seen in the Washington Times, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) publicly condemned Antifa after the extremist group attacked demonstrators in Berkeley late August. As Zero Hedge notes, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) followed Pelosi’s lead and condemned Antifa soon after.
Antifa made an appearance at conservative commentator Ben Shapiro’s event at the University of Berkeley last Thursday. But as Daily Cal reports, police banned the use of masks and bandannas–Antifa’s trademark. The violence was almost completely eliminated. If other law enforcement agencies around the country follow suit, Antifa’s may dwindle into irrelevance despite the financial support they receive from Hillary, Soros, and other Leftists.
