By all appearances, Hillary Clinton is not yet done with the limelight. The failed presidential candidate has decided to move into a new position that would put her directly in charge of molding young minds.
According to NY Daily News, following her much hyped book tour for What Happened?, Clinton has reportedly begun talks with various colleges in New York City in order to see if any would be interested in making her a professor.
Clinton has zeroed in on Columbia University, a prestigious Ivy League school. Clinton has no connection to Columbia, having gone to Wellesley College in Boston, and later Yale Law School during her tenure as a student of law.
Clinton, who is also considering donating her archives to Columbia, is seeking a formal role as a “University Professor,” which would allow her to teach in different departments and colleges.
Almost all full professors at the school have a doctorate. Clinton’s highest degree is her law school JD.
One source close to the situation claims that Clinton is currently weighing her options.
“It’s all fluid. It could be a number of things,” a unnamed source said. “No decisions have been made, but there are talks. She’s trying to figure out what she wants to do.”
It remains to be seen whether or not Clinton will try to become a professor in Columbia’s law school (a logical decision, given Mrs. Clinton’s training), or will take up a position in Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs.
Clinton’s proposed foray into academia should come as no surprise. After all, academics are some of the most liberal people in the country. Econ Journal Watch published a study in 2016 that found that progressives outnumber conservatives on American campuses by a ratio of twelve to one.
It is a safe bet that most, if not all of Clinton’s future co-workers voted for her in 2016.
Columbia has also long been known as a far-Left school. Indeed, thanks to “Mattress Girl” Emma Sulkowicz, the school became ground zero for the Obama administration’s decision to combat the “epidemic” of sexual assault on campus by expanding the power of Title IX.
As it turned out, Sulkowicz was a liar who falsely accused an international student of rape after having consensual sex with him on multiple occasions. By the time that this information traveled from the conservative blogosphere to the mainstream news, it was already too late. The damage had already been done, and the hysteria over sexual predation on American college campuses continued unabated.
Hillary wants to be a college professor. Would you like your child to be under her instruction?
It is also worth noting that, if Clinton does become a college professor, it will continue her pattern of working white collar jobs that do not produce anything, or require strenuous labor. Overall, Mrs. Clinton has been a lawyer, a professional politician, and now she seeks the cushy life of an academic.
This personal history played a role in Hillary Clinton’s dismal performance among America’s working class in the 2016 election.
While some may groan at Clinton’s foray into academia, many Democrats are likely to welcome this news. After all, if Clinton stays busy as a professor, then she will not try to maintain her position as the face of the Democratic Party.
