Vice President Kamala Harris is not particularly adept at public speaking, strangely enough, and tends at times to repeat key phrases and talking points in an odd manner suggestive that she doesn’t fully comprehend what she is discussing.
That occurred again this week during a speech Harris delivered in Louisiana, but it was too much to bear for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA), who labeled the VP as “dumb” and suggested she was a “total humiliation” to her staffers and the nation during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
What is the problem with VP Harris?
At issue during the discussion between Gingrich and Hannity was how VP Harris, in a speech about extending high-speed broadband internet access to all Americans, uttered the phrase “the significance of the passage of time” not less than four times within about 30 seconds.
KAMALA HARRIS: “The significance of the passage of time, right? The significance of the passage of time. So when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time…there is such great significance to the passage of time.” pic.twitter.com/jUsnyNiSpB

In referencing that, Hannity also made note of multiple gaffes Harris made during a recent trip to Poland and Romania as well as the fact that her chief National Security adviser, Nancy McEldowney, had just announced her resignation — the tenth Harris staffer to do so in the past nine months, according to the New York Post.
“Dumbest person ever elected vice president”
In response to all of that and more, PJ Media reported that Gingrich said, “Well, first of all, if you want a strong reason to pray for the health of the president of the United States, you are reminded again today that that reason is the vice president.”
“She’s not only totally incoherent — you know, [Biden] may or may not have cognitive decline problems at his age, but at her age, she’s just dumb,” he continued. “Let’s be clear, Kamala Harris may be the dumbest person ever elected vice president in American history and that’s why people keep resigning.”
“I mean, if you were her national security advisor, and you were competent, and you’d worked hard, and you knew what you were doing, and you watched her in Poland break up laughing when she’s asked about Ukrainian refugees, you had to feel a sense of total humiliation,” Gingrich said.
“So I’m not surprised that that particular advisor resigned because it’s very clear that Kamala Harris should never, ever be allowed to leave the country,” he added. “She probably shouldn’t be allowed to leave the Naval Observatory, which is the residence of the vice president. She’s a constant danger to herself and to the rest of us.”
Gingrich has the right idea — keep Harris hidden away from public
It has become painfully obvious to a majority of the American people, as evidenced by her dismal favorability ratings, that Kamala Harris simply isn’t capable or qualified to serve in her current role, and that reality has become increasingly difficult for the Biden White House to hide.
Vice President Harris should — but won’t — resign from office, and at the very least, the Biden administration should — but won’t — follow Gingrich’s advice and keep Harris as far away from the voting public as possible, if only for the sake of their Democratic Party’s electoral chances, if not also for the sanity and well-being of the American people more generally.
