Liberal media hasn’t stopped with its obsession over Trump and Russia collusion allegations and it’s starting to get on people’s nerves.
Among the worst offenders is CNN, who recently questioned Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) about his opinion on a new allegation regarding the collusion investigation. Fed up, Johnson bashed the network, saying he’s focused on the real issues while CNN is ignoring them, according to Hannity.com.
The story CNN wanted to discuss with Senator Johnson was a report in the Washington Post that claims President Trump dictated Trump Jr.’s statements about his meeting with the Russian lawyer.
Johnson refused to comment, saying they needed to ask those involved in the case. He explained that he had no part in the matter and wanted to wait for further information to come out before making a statement. Refusing to take no for an answer, the reporter pressed Johnson for his opinion, asking if he was “concerned” by it.
That’s when Johnson let them have it: “Chris, there’s so much out there being talked about right now. Who funded the Russia dossier on Trump? That’s pretty interesting as well. What’s happening with Debbie Wasserman Schultz?”
He criticized the reporter, saying “I think you can do all kinds of reporting. What I’m trying to focus on is how do we fix the mess that is Obamacare? How do we get tax relief to the American taxpayer? How do we actually grow our economy so we have great opportunities for Americans?”
Most Americans share Johnson’s frustration with the biased media’s focus on the empty Russia collusion allegations instead of reporting on the real issues. In a poll released by Harvard-Harris, 56 percent of voters believe it’s high time Congress and the media move on from the allegations and talk about other issues.
Mark Penn, co-director of Harvard-Harris, said voters want answers to the Russian hack investigations, but believe it’s still a distraction “While the voters have a keen interest in any Russian election interference, they are concerned that the investigations have become a distraction for the president and Congress that is hurting rather than helping the country.”
Even more interesting, the poll revealed that many voters believe Trump could be guilty, but really don’t care, according to Penn. “Most voters believe that the president’s actions don’t rise to the level of impeachable offenses, even if some of them were inappropriate.”
This is in stark contrast to Democrat leaders pushing the Mueller investigation, and the liberal media hunting for any story that could prove their allegations of Trump’s collusion with Russia. According to them, it would seem the collusion investigations are the only important matter on the table and they’re willing to ignore other stories to push the narrative.
Senators like Ron Johnson are openly calling the media out for their non-coverage of real political scandals. Do you agree that the media could be doing more to expose corruption in government and politics?
In an interview with Fox & Friends, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) said it’s all just a way for liberals to oppose the president. “Look, this is all a political circus at this point. Democrats and sadly much of the liberal media are using this just as an excuse to attack the president. They want this president to fail.”
When will liberals realize their obsession with accusations of collusion isn’t rallying the people under their banner? Instead, it’s causing widespread annoyance and frustration. Nothing else in their efforts to oppose Trump has worked and they’re clinging to this narrative like a political life raft.
