One of the Democrats most high-profile donors may have gotten caught doing something not only illegal, but horrifying.
According to The Hill, the FBI is seeking unredacted documents the Senate obtained from abortion providers. All indicators point to the fact that an investigation is underway to see if abortion providers, like Planned Parenthood, are illegally selling aborted fetal tissue and body parts for a profit.
The anonymous source states that the request was made in recent days. Last December, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) conducted a lengthy probe into whether abortion providers were selling fetal parts for profit. He recommended the FBI investigate Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers.
According to Sen. Grassley, they had obtained more than enough evidence to prove the sale of tissue and body parts from aborted fetuses to various research firms for an amount greater than their cost, or at a profit.
This is illegal. A 1993 law permits abortion providers to transfer tissue and body parts to firms for research purposes so long as they were bought at the cost of obtaining them, meaning they couldn’t earn a profit from the transaction.
The Vice President of Government Affairs for Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Dana Singiser, adamantly denies that any such illegal activity occurred: “Planned Parenthood strongly disagrees with the recommendations of the Senate Republican staff to refer this matter to the Justice Department, especially in light of the fact that investigations by three other Congressional committees, and investigations in 13 states including a Grand Jury in Texas, have all shown that Planned Parenthood did nothing wrong.”
She maintains that the recommendation by the Senator is nothing more than a political stunt: “These accusations are baseless, and a part of a widely discredited attempt to end access to reproductive health care at Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood has never, and would never, profit while facilitating its patients’ choice to donate fetal tissue for use in important medical research.”
Yet the investigations were sparked by several undercover videos released in 2015 that showed abortion providers saying they’d taken money for aborted fetus parts and tissue. After conducting their own investigation, Sen. Grassley stated that they had proof apart from the videos of such activities possibly occurring.
One example from the report shows a firm’s own records stating they had paid $60 for an aborted fetus from Planned Parenthood. They then split the baby into various parts and sold them; the brain for $325, the eyes for $650, and a section of the liver for $325.
In the letter, Sen. Grassley wrote to the FBI requesting an investigation into Planned Parenthood and other facilities, stating: “The report documents the failure of the Department of Justice, across multiple administrations, to enforce the law that bans the buying and selling of human fetal tissue … It also documents substantial evidence suggesting that the specific entities involved in the recent controversy, and/or individuals employed by those entities, may have violated that law.”
The FBI is considering investigating Planned Parenthood for allegedly selling aborted fetus parts. Should the FBI investigate them?
The head of the Center for Medical Progress, David Daleiden, the same organization that released the undercover videos, says an FBI investigation is long overdue: “…[The] sale of aborted baby body parts is the greatest human atrocity of our times and must finally be brought to justice under the law.”
The companies that seek to profit from aborted babies by selling their body parts — like parts from rotting cars in a scrap heap — need to be held accountable and brought to justice for their horrific crimes. Hopefully, these FBI investigations will reveal the crimes in which these abortion providers and research firms engage. Their atrocities are already evident.
