Everyone Wonders Who Will Take a Knee Today, Here’s a Hero Who NEVER Would

Currently, many in America are deeply upset that pampered athletes continue to take a knee during the playing of the national anthem. One news outlet decided to actually profile one NFL star who was undeniably a patriot rather than give more airtime to disrespectful players.

IJR quoted one Twitter user (@SurvivorFan2016) who asked a rhetorical question: “Does anyone think Pat Tillman will #TakeAKnee on Sunday? Neither do I….”

Pat Tillman was an all-star college football player who got the opportunity to live his dream by playing for the Arizona Cardinals.

However, Tillman knew that there are far more important things in life than football. In 2002, months after the terror attacks of 9/11, Tillman left the NFL and joined the US Army Special Forces.

Tragically, in 2004, while serving in Afghanistan, Tillman was killed in a friendly fire incident.

While evidence does show us that Tillman thought that the 2003 invasion of Iraq was “illegal,” and despite the fact that Tillman was known to read the works of deeply anti-American authors like Noam Chomsky, it cannot be disputed that Tillman was a patriot who deeply respected the American flag and America’s heritage.

President Trump feels the same way.

This is why, during a campaign stop for Alabama Senator Luther Strange on Friday, President Trump unleashed a torrent of abuse on those players who continue to kneel for the national anthem.

“We’re proud of our country. We respect our flag. Wouldn’t you love to see one of our NFL owners when someone disrespects our flag to say, ‘Get that son of a b***h off the field right now … he’s fired!”

So far, players and owners have taken issue with President Trump’s words, with most chastising President Trump for promoting “divisive rhetoric.” All of these grown adult men can’t seem to wrap their head around the fact that politics is “war by another means.” Politics, especially in democratic societies where political affiliation is often based on race, religion, or sexuality, are especially volatile, with one group trying to guarantee the future irrelevancy of the other.

Some NFL stars fired back by saying that they are planning a massive protest this Sunday, with nearly sixty players taking a knee during the national anthem.

President Trump fired back by making Sunday Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day, meaning that by taking a knee on Sunday, the athletes are disrespecting those families who lost loved ones in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Also, on a more tactical level, NFL protests and the fact that some teams have decided to stay in the locker room during the playing of the national anthem are helping President Trump to win the culture war. After all, more and more NFL viewers are turning off their TVs on Sunday. The NFL is losing millions, and looks to be on track to lose more.

Each protest from multi-millionaires and each BLM-led street riot helps to make the American electorate more conservative. The Left is unwittingly playing right into President Trump’s hands by waking middle America up to the reality that NFL and NBA stars secretly hate them and their values.
