The American people cannot stand back and allow the Robert Mueller witch hunt to continue, opines Fox Business host Lou Dobbs.
In a recent interview with Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, Lou Dobbs took aim at Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the Washington, DC, establishment. “What we are watching in my judgment,” Dobbs said, “is the establishment, which owns both political parties leadership. We’re watching the establishment use Mueller for what he is used best, and that is as a tool against the one person – the one person who can change the direction of what has been an increasing corruption in federal government.”

President Trump fired disgraced FBI Director James Comey earlier this year after a series of memos circulated the White House suggesting that Comey’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation undermined the reputation and morale of the FBI.
The memos, written by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, justified the case for firing James Comey. Rosenstein’s memo was particularly strong in its judgment against Comey and recommended firing the FBI director to restore credibility to the FBI.
Almost immediately after his firing, James Comey leaked an illegally obtained memo suggesting that President Trump pressured him to drop the investigation into General Michael Flynn before his firing. The memo led to accusations that President Trump had obstructed justice – despite the fact that the president has the power to pardon, and he could have pardoned Gen. Flynn at any time – which prompted Rod Rosenstein to appoint former FBI Director Robert Mueller as special counsel.
“Mueller is investigating himself,” suggests Tom Fitton, “because the firing of Comey lead to his appointment. Comey’s leaking of information led to his appointment. And, Sessions recused himself almost immediately from anything of substance as it relates to [Hillary] Clinton and this whole Russia scandal. So we are faced with a Constitutional mess over at the Justice Department where Rosenstein is being interviewed by the guy he is supposed to be supervising.”
Tom Fitton goes on to explain that the entire Mueller investigation is suspect, and he ties his appointment to other establishment efforts abusing the power of the federal government to influence elections.
According to Fitton, the Obama administration regularly abused the powers of the federal government. As an example, Fitton refers to a recent CNN report which revealed that President Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, was being spied on by the Obama administration while living in Trump Tower and working for the Trump election campaign.
“It goes back to 2012.” Fitton explains, “Obama used the IRS. Robert Mueller’s FBI collaborated with the IRS to figure out ways to prosecute the very groups the IRS was targeting to suppress the Tea Party movement in a successful effort, in my view, to steal the election in 2012.”
Over the next four years, the Department of Justice and the FBI unsuccessfully attempted to manipulate the 2016 election in favor of Hillary Clinton. The FBI, under newly-appointed director Comey, sought to protect Hillary Clinton while targeting the outsider Donald Trump.
“If Sessions doesn’t step up and un-recuse himself.” Fitton concludes, “the president should exercise his authority under the constitution to police the Justice Department and remove Mr. Mueller.”
