President Trump and CNN have not been friends since he began his campaign for the White House, with Trump frequently referring to them as “fake news.” However, CNN recently took a leap from peddling misleading information to expressing outright insanity.
In a recent segment, CNN anchors were confronted on Hillary’s Russian ties regarding the Uranium One deal and shrugged it off, saying, “You don’t think President Trump would have approved the Uranium One deal, the person who doesn’t want – we hear that his administration doesn’t want Congress to keep sanctions on Russia?” (via Independent Journal Review)
When Jason Miller, senior communications advisor for the Trump campaign, brought attention to the fact that Hillary, as Secretary of State, pushed through the Uranium One deal, he was met with a startling response from CNN co-host Alisyn Camerota: she claimed Trump would have done the same thing.
The Uranium One deal allowed Russia to gain control of the nuclear energy company Uranium One, as well as a huge portion of America’s uranium stockpile through a series of transactions that will span several years. It was pushed through by Hillary Clinton, who received donations for her family’s foundation from the Russian bank at the time of the deal, according to Breitbart.
When Miller brought up this scandalous point, Camerota dismissed it as a mere talking point.
Miller: What we did know at the time is that Secretary Clinton had been very much involved with the Russians, as we talk about the Uranium One deal, which was very scandalous and maybe there was —
Camerota: We keep hearing that talking point. We understand that you guys keep bringing that up.
Miller: So you don’t think the Uranium One deal was a big deal?
Camerota: And you don’t think President Trump would have approved the Uranium One deal, the person who doesn’t want — we hear that his administration doesn’t want Congress to keep sanctions on Russia?
Miller: But .. but … you’re not answering my question. I mean, do you not think the Uranium One deal was problematic, to go and give that much control of the world’s uranium supply to the Russians?
Miller’s point hits the nail on the head. Hillary’s actions as Secretary of State show a disturbing hypocrisy regarding the Democrats’ Russian paranoia. Not even a few years ago Clinton herself was buddy-buddy with the Russian government, willing to provide them a tremendous strategic advantage in return for their financial support.
In fact, this lends credence to Trump’s claim that Putin, in reality, would have preferred Hillary Clinton over himself as president.
But even more shocking is CNN host Alisyn Camerota’s unfounded claim that Trump would do the same thing. This is complete insanity; there’s no way Trump would allow anyone else to have that much of America’s uranium.
CNN’s frequent and blatant disregard for objectivity has been exposed. Do you agree? Let everyone know in the poll below!
After watching the CNN video, a White House aide told Breitbart News, “If Trump knows anything, it’s what a good deal for the American people looks like. It doesn’t take more than a glance to see this was anything but a good deal for the American people
Trump’s commitment to “Make America Great Again” is to protect and serve the interests of the American people, not the interests of a personal foundation, his businesses, or even to line his own pockets, unlike many politicians currently serving. It’s a refreshing change of character that sadly will never go acknowledged by the many misleading news organizations who instead push their own agenda and seek to make Trump out to be a villain.
