It was just another day for 26-year-old Joshua Witt. He decided to stop by his local Steak ‘n Shake in Sheridan, Colorado, when suddenly things took an insane turn.
Witt pulled into the fast-food joint, parked, and opened his door to get out of his car. Suddenly, he heard, “Are you one of them neo-Nazis?” and just like that, a strange man started swinging a knife toward Witt’s head, according to The New York Post. Witt and many others believe that the stabbing occurred due to Witt’s hairstyle — shaved on the sides, a little longer on the top — which, apparently, resembles that of a neo-Nazi style.
The story was told through Witt’s eyes in real-time via a Facebook post. At the time of this writing, there are a staggering 35,000 shares and 12,000 likes. Now, American citizens are looking on, concerned and wondering who will be targetted next in these violent Antifa attacks.
Witt went on to explain, “I threw my hands up and once the knife kind of hit, I dived back into my car and shut the door and watched him run off west, behind my car.”
As a result, he was left with a huge gash in his hand from the knife that resulted in three stitches and careful medical attention. This is just one of many violent attacks that the so-called “anti-fascists” have orchestrated over the past couple of months.
It is important to note that Witt has no tattoos or anything else that would lead people to believe that he is associated with neo-Nazis, or even remotely racist. If they are judging people based on their hair cuts, Americans have a huge problem.
Since the election of President Trump, violent groups such as Antifa have come to the surface. They pose a huge threat–not just to people they deem to be a racist, but on the Republic as a whole.
They have shut down speeches from right-wing folks, and Trump rallies in Berkeley, California. Most recently, they started feuding with protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia. The result of the violence from both groups was that one woman, Heather Heyer died, 19 more were injured, and two additional deaths occurred when surveilling law enforcement officers suffered a helicopter crash.
As time goes on, the behavior of the self-proclaimed Communist-Anarchist is becoming increasingly violent. If America is at a point where innocent people are getting attacked over their hairstyles, something needs to be done.
A petition was created to persuade the Trump administration to recognize Antifa as a terrorist group on. Just two days ago, the petition reached 100,000 signatures, meaning the White House must issue a response.
The description from the petition reads, “Terrorism is, in its broadest sense, the use of intentionally indiscriminate violence as a means to create terror or fear, in order to achieve a political, religious, or ideological aim. ANTIFA have demonstrated time and time again that they’re more than willing and able to fill these criteria.”
As if to prove their point, the evidence is in the story of this young man, Joshua Witt. The American people should not have to live in fear. Hopefully, people begin to realize this before more innocent people get harmed by these homegrown terrorists.
